February 5, 2012 - Mahan Insurance Sales merges with Marshall Young Insurance

Two well known independent insurance agencies, Mahan Insurance Sales and J. Marshall Young & Associates, Inc are pleased to announce their merger.  The name of the combined companies is Marshall Young Insurance Agency LLC. The union of these award winning insurance agencies represents over 125 years of insurance industry experience in Johnson County,   Bill Young, President of Marshall Young Insurance commented, “The merging of our long established family businesses is truly exciting.  We look forward to building on each others unique heritage, while focusing on common goals of supporting our client’s insurance needs. Our combined strengths will allow us to expand our product and service capabilities while saving overhead costs.”  The combined company represents over 100 insurance companies, allowing Marshall Young Insurance the ability to tailor your individual insurance needs with the best price unlike captive agents who can only offer you one price from one company.  Ray Mahan, President of Mahan Insurance Sales said, “One day I was having lunch with Matt & Jon Lee and they were telling me how much money they were saving customers with the AARP Home & Auto Program and said why don’t you join forces with us so you can offer it to your clients.  So we priced one of my clients and it was going to save them over $800 on their car insurance alone.  So combing the companies was a natural fit, as they had companies that I didn’t have such as the AARP Home & Auto Program, MetLife and GMAC Insurance and I had companies that they didn’t have such as Travelers Home & Auto, Hallmark, Mercury and American Southwest.  We both had some of the same companies such as Progressive, Frontier, National Lloyd’s, Foremost, Kemper/Unitrin.  Added Matt Lee, Vice President, “Ray has a unique ability to find coverages for properties and businesses that are hard to write insurance.   He brings a wealth of experience to the agency and we are excited to have Paula Mahan and Beverley Henslee join us to work with Shelly Boggs in taking care of the home and auto policies.  Ray added, “With these tough economic times, everyone is looking to save a little money on their insurance and we are more than happy to review your insurance and see if we can save you money while giving you better coverages.” Mahan Insurance Sales has moved into the Marshall Young Insurance Building at 1470 W. Henderson right next to Rowlett’s Hardware.  Office hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm and you can find them 24 hours a day at www.marshallyoung.com or on Facebook by searching for Marshall Young Insurance.

December 4, 2011 - Marshall Young Insurance Announces Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign

Marshall Young Insurance announces the kickoff of their annual Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive toy drive.  Bill Young, President of Marshall Young Insurance, said, “It is an honor and privilege to be an official drop off location for the Toys for Tots program who helps make so many children’s Christmas dreams come true.”  Anyone wishing to donate to the program may bring a new toy in the original packaging by the offices of Marshall Young Insurance at 1470 W. Henderson or Cleburne Ford at 3800 N.
