In 1972 I formed a partnership with William Homer and had insurance with Marshall Young & Associates until 1977.  Then in 1984, I formed Jackey Lackey Plumbing and came back to Marshall Young & Associates and have been here for about 32 years.

I have known Bill and Marshall since I was 15 years old.  Marshall taught me in school.  Marshall was teaching school and running the insurance business and building homes.  Being his student, I would be the runner between my dad, “Cotton” Lackey, the plumber and Marshall Young the builder.  Cotton always carried his insurance through Marshall Young & Associates.

Dear Bill,

I wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed doing business with Marshall Young & Associates since I moved back to Cleburne in 1981.  Your firm has always handled my home and auto insurance and with four children, your staff did a great job of making sure we had the right coverage and at the same time helped us to keep the costs down.  A few years ago, one of your staff called to suggest a change to our home owners that has saved us hundreds of dollars over the past few years.

In 1987, I made the decision to start my first business and Marshall Young and Associates were there to help me with insurance needs and to suggest coverage that I as a small business owner would need.  As our needs grew, you staff was always on top our needs.  The staff has been very helpful and courteous through the years and they are always pleasant to deal with.  They make me feel comfortable and at the same time, we know they are helping us watch our pennies.

As you know, I am the secretary/treasurer for my church and in that position; I am responsible for making sure we have the proper insurance coverage.  Marshall Young & Associates have helped me as our insurance needs have changed and were most helpful when our church suffered a catastrophic lost of our annex.  When our insurance carrier dropped our coverage, your staff was there to help us by even reviewing proposals from other carriers.  I was most impressed, when your staff told me that you could not match the proposal the other carrier had given us and recommended that we go with them.  As you stated at that time, “remember to call us when it comes up for renewal as we may have more options at that time.” Well, twenty four months later, we called and sure enough, your firm was able to put together a package that saved us money and got us the same coverage.

I certainly appreciate you and your staff always looking out for me and that I can always call on you for help when dealing with the insurance companies.  Your agency has always acted in the best interests of your clients and for that I say thank you.  I look forward to many more years of doing business with Marshall Young & Associates and wanted to express my gratitude for all that your firm does for me.  Thanks again.
